ROGER ANDERSON
In 2014, Roger embarked on his path as a co-founder of the Station Theater, where he and his business partner, Jessica Brown, took charge of Station Theater Improv Conservatory and founded the Creative Communications and Applied Improv program.
A decade later, Station's Applied Improv program has evolved into a thriving institution, providing diverse applied improv services and teambuilding events that have left a dynamic imprint on companies across Houston and beyond.
Roger holds a Bachelor's in Marketing from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. In improv theater, Roger has credentials from several Austin-based programs and LA's Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Conservatory. Roger leverages his education and experience in both his roles as a business director and senior faculty member. Whether guiding beginners around the fundamentals or advanced students through form intensives, Roger strives to shape students for laughs on stage and help shape their personal creative paths with a passion for creativity and communication.
Outside of Station, Roger has led out-of-state workshops and has acted as an outside clinician for other theater institutions.
“His classes were always engaging and the students loved his approach to improv. Through his methods, the students grew in their artistry while having fun along the way.”

Under Jessica and Roger’s leadership, the Creative Communications Program has flourished, establishing connections with over 50 industry-leading clients, including globally recognized brands.
But Roger's impact extends beyond the boardroom. With roles ranging from artistic director and marketing writer to event promoter, performer, coach, and contest judge, he is a driving force behind Station Theater's vibrant community. Since its founding, Station has transformed from a modest independent theater into a standout Houston institution. In just five years, they've staged over 1000 shows, captivating a loyal audience of around 300 patrons every week.
“Roger is incredibly detailed and focused on theory and strategy without being stuffy or unapproachable. He has a rare ability to give razor-sharp precise notes but in a kind fun loving way.”
