As Executive Director of Station Theater, Jessica oversees all aspects of Houston's leading long-form improv and sketch comedy theater and training center. She also directs Station Theater's Applied Improvisation Training Program, which utilizes improvisational theater principles, practices, and skills, to help businesses and organizations with team building, personal development, creativity, and innovation. Jessica has coached teams of all levels, from new hires to executive leadership, for Baylor College of Medicine, Chevron New Energies, Dow, ExxonMobil, GE Oil & Gas, Hewlett Packard, Houston Methodist, M.D. Anderson, McKesson Pharmaceuticals, Reliant Energy, Rice University, United Airlines, and many more.
Jessica has been an improv and sketch comedy instructor at Station Theater since 2014. She started her training in improvisation in 2009 with ComedySportz Houston and has since completed programs with Rogue Improv and Station Theater, as well as the Musical Improv and Advanced Musical Improv programs at Merlin Works Austin. She continues to study with improv and sketch comedy inspirations every chance she gets.
Her festival performances include Trill Comedy Festival, Chicago Improv Festival, Improv Festival Oklahoma, Houston Fringe Festival, Houston Improv Festival, Improv Wins, and Megaphone Marathons. She currently performs with 80s Kids Comedy, Discord & Rhyme Musical Improv, Chuck + Jess, Long-Distance Dedication, and Wonder Woman Underoos.
She spent two decades working in marketing and sales for destinations and attractions, including Houston Premium Outlets, Landry's Restaurants National Tour & Travel program, Visit Sugar Land, Visit Austin, and Texas Tourism. She holds multiple tourism and hospitality certifications, including Texas Destination Marketer (TDM) from the Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Forbes Travel Guide Houston Hospitality Service Training, and Certified Houston Tourism Ambassador (CTA). She is finalizing her Texas Travel Alliance's Texas Destination Executive (TDE) certification. She is a certified instructor for Texas A&M AgriLife's Texas Friendly Hospitality Customer Service program. She also holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certification from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business in 2021.
Jessica is a native Houstonian and attended The University of Texas at Austin. When not at Station, you can find her singing karaoke, listening to Duran Duran, hanging out with her cats Anya, Finni, Smöl, and Wendy - or with her sisters Angie & Mandi.
